What to Expect

Hebrew language evaluation tasks assess Modern Israeli Hebrew for grammatical accuracy, natural contemporary expression, and appropriate register. Hebrew's root-and-pattern morphology (shoresh system) is a particular challenge for AI, correct word formation from trilateral roots, binyan selection for verbs, and mishkal selection for nouns are frequently evaluated. Grammatical gender agreement across noun phrases, construct state (smichut) formations, and the definite article with adjectives are common error areas. Tasks evaluate the distinction between formal written Hebrew and colloquial Israeli speech, which differs considerably in vocabulary and grammar. Register-sensitive contexts, legal Hebrew, religious text, contemporary slang, require specific expertise. Audio tasks involve recording in natural Israeli Hebrew. Native speaker or C2-level fluency is required.
