What to Expect

Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) evaluation tasks assess AI accuracy in Indonesia's national language—closely related to Malay but with distinct vocabulary, spelling conventions, and usage norms. Tasks evaluate correct prefix-suffix combinations in the Indonesian derivational system (me-, ber-, di-, -kan, -i and their combinations), natural vocabulary choices (including appropriate use of Indonesian versus Dutch-origin versus English-origin terms), and register appropriateness. Formal written Indonesian (used in news, official documents) differs significantly from spoken colloquial Indonesian (often featuring Jakarta slang and prefix elision), and tasks assess whether AI navigates this distinction correctly. Audio tasks involve recording in natural Indonesian speech. Native speaker or near-native fluency is required. Indonesia's population size and growing digital economy make this a high-volume task category.
