What to Expect

Java roles lean heavily toward enterprise patterns and the Spring ecosystem. You'll evaluate class hierarchies for Liskov substitution violations, check whether dependency injection is properly configured, and assess Stream API usage for correctness and performance. Spring Boot tasks are common: REST controllers, service layers, JPA repository queries, and transaction management. Multi-threading tasks appear regularly—you'll need to recognize race conditions, improper synchronization, and misuse of concurrent collections. Design pattern recognition matters here; AI often implements patterns incorrectly or chooses the wrong one. Enterprise Java background (Spring, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle) is a significant advantage.
