What you'll do
Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in design work. As a Design Expert, you'll design realistic, end-to-end design workflows that today's best models still struggle with, then grade how agents handle them. Expect to build scenarios across visual and brand design (marketing asset creation, brand guideline maintenance, presentation design, illustration, iconography), product and UX design (wireframing, mockups, design system work, user flows, prototypes, design review and spec handoff), and content and creative operations (asset versioning, localization, creative brief interpretation, stock asset curation). These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.

What you'll do Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in design work. As a Design Expert, you'll design realistic, end-to-end design workflows that today's best models still struggle with, then grade how agents handle them. Expect to build scenarios across visual and brand design (marketing asset creation, brand guideline maintenance, presentation design, illustration, iconography), product and UX design (wireframing, mockups, design system work, user flows, prototypes, design review and spec handoff), and content and creative operations (asset versioning, localization, creative brief interpretation, stock asset curation). These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus. Who we're looking for 3+ years in visual / brand design, product or UX design, or creative operations at a product company, agency, or equivalent Working fluency in at least two of: wireframing and prototyping (Figma, Sketch), visual design and brand systems, design systems and components, illustration, creative ops and asset management Comfortable reading and producing design artifacts: specs, wireframes, prototypes, brand guidelines, creative briefs Clear written communication; able to articulate reasoning and design decisions step by step Drawn to long-horizon, challenging problem sets rather than one-off microtasks Compensation $55–$95/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput. - 3+ years in visual / brand design, product or UX design, or creative operations at a product company, agency, or equivalent
- Working fluency in at least two of: wireframing and prototyping (Figma, Sketch), visual design and brand systems, design systems and components, illustration, creative ops and asset management
- Comfortable reading and producing design artifacts: specs, wireframes, prototypes, brand guidelines, creative briefs
- Clear written communication; able to articulate reasoning and design decisions step by step

How flexible is the schedule?
Extremely. This is true "log in and work" flexibility. You can usually work for 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on your availability. There are rarely minimum hour requirements, making it ideal for side income.
Is there an interview?
Usually, no. Hiring for these roles is almost entirely based on passing an automated assessment or "qualification" task. If you pass the test, you get access to the work.
How soon will I start?
