About this Role
Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Hawaiian Language Expert to join our customer's team as part of an innovative AI training initiative. In this specialized role, you will leverage your linguistic expertise to shape AI language models, promote Hawaiian language preservation, and ensure the highest standards of translation and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Translate, review, and edit content between English and Hawaiian with impeccable accuracy and cultural integrity. Evaluate AI-generated text to assess linguistic accuracy, contextual relevance, and cultural appropriateness in Hawaiian. Provide expert feedback and detailed annotations to enhance AI model understanding of the Hawaiian language. Collaborate with AI trainers, linguists, and developers to improve natural language processing for Hawaiian. Maintain and update a repository of Hawaiian linguistic resources and standardized terminology. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure written and verbal materials meet established standards. Assist with the development of guidelines and best practices for Hawaiian language data curation and translation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Hawaiian with strong command of English. Proven experience in Hawaiian language translation, localization, and editing. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Deep understanding of Hawaiian grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances. Background in linguistics, language education, or related field. Experience working with digital tools for translation and annotation. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience as an AI language model trainer or evaluator. Advanced degree in Hawaiian Studies, Linguistics, or a relevant discipline. Familiarity with natural language processing or computational linguistics concepts.

What is the catch?
Privacy. Micro1 projects often require you to install time-tracking software that takes screenshots of your desktop while you work to ensure you are actually working. If you are uncomfortable with monitoring software, this might not be for you.
What does the work actually look like?

How flexible is the schedule?
