About this Role
Job Summary
Join our customer's team as a Lao Language Expert, contributing your specialized linguistic skills to innovative AI training projects. As a key team member, you will play an essential role in developing high-quality language resources, ensuring that AI systems understand and process the Lao language with precision and cultural relevance.
Key Responsibilities
Edit, review, and proofread Lao language content for clarity, accuracy, and cultural authenticity. Translate written materials between Lao and English, maintaining context and intent. Develop, refine, and annotate linguistic datasets to train and evaluate AI models in Lao. Collaborate closely with AI trainers and engineers to define language quality standards. Provide expert feedback on language usage, grammar, and tone for AI applications. Research and address linguistic nuances, regional dialects, and evolving trends in Lao. Participate in team meetings, contributing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Lao, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong background in editing and translating Lao language materials. Demonstrated expertise in linguistic analysis and language data annotation. Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for language quality. Proven ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment. Effective communicator with a genuine care for both written and spoken clarity.
