About this Role
We are looking for a Junior Prospector / SDR with 0 years of experience to be the first sales hire at a spatial intelligence startup building the world's first autonomous CAD agent. You'll own top-of-funnel outreach to manufacturing customers as Spectral Labs prepares for its first product launch, this is a ground-floor opportunity with significant equity upside in a multi-trillion dollar industry.
What you need
- New grad or about to graduate (May, Dec 2026), no prior professional sales experience needed
- Exceptional written communication skills, short, specific, personalized outreach (not AI-generated)
- Must be located in the Bay Area and able to work fully in-person in San Francisco 5 days/week
- Persistent, resilient, and resourceful, comfortable with high rejection rates and an ambiguous environment
- Curious enough about manufacturing and physical products to understand and communicate the product's value
What will you be doing?
Building target account lists of machine shops, manufacturers, and hardware companies and researching them before outreach
Writing and sending personalized outbound emails to manufacturing customers that earn first conversations
Handing off qualified conversations to the forward-deployed product/engineering team to demo the product
Syncing weekly/biweekly with the product team to stay current on features and what to highlight in outreach
Keeping the CRM accurate and testing messaging systematically to learn what earns replies
