About this Role
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager with 3, 6 years of dedicated PMM experience to build Candid Health's product marketing function from the ground up. You'll be a metrics-oriented, enterprise B2B marketer who can define positioning and messaging for our core products, lead end-to-end launches, and partner closely with product and commercial teams. This is one of the most important roles at Candid right now, our growth depends on effectively marketing what we're building to both existing customers and the broader enterprise healthcare market. We'd love someone with a technical or analytical background who has seen what "good" looks like at a later-stage startup (Series D+) and is ready to own this as a high-impact IC.
What will you be doing?
Build the product marketing function from scratch, defining how launches, updates, and messaging programs are run across the organization
Define positioning and messaging for each of Candid's core products, with a particular focus on enterprise ambulatory segment messaging
Lead end-to-end go-to-market launches for new products and features (e.g., the upcoming agents product), coordinating across Product, Sales, and Customer Success
Create high-quality sales enablement materials, pitch decks, battlecards, case studies, and demo content, to arm the commercial team
Serve as the key interface between the product team and the commercial team, translating technical capabilities into compelling value narratives for enterprise buyers

Interview Prep
Sample questions for a Product Marketing Manager role, written in-house to help you prepare.
How do you approach positioning a product in a market with several established competitors?
I look for the specific customer need that's underserved by existing competitors, rather than positioning purely on feature comparison, since a feature-by-feature comparison usually favors whoever has the biggest team, not the strongest positioning. Differentiation built on an underserved need is more defensible than one built on matching or exceeding a feature list.
What's your process for validating that a proposed go-to-market strategy will actually resonate with the target customer?
I test messaging with actual target customers before a full launch, through interviews or smaller-scale campaigns, rather than relying on internal consensus about what will resonate. Internal teams often have blind spots about how messaging lands with people outside the company.
How do you work with product and sales teams who have different priorities to build an aligned launch plan?
I bring both teams into the planning process early rather than building the plan separately and asking for buy-in afterward, since early involvement surfaces conflicting priorities while there's still time to reconcile them. A launch plan built without early cross-functional input often runs into friction at execution.
What's your approach to conducting market research for a product decision when the target market is niche or hard to reach for direct research?
I combine what direct customer access is available with proxy research, like analyzing behavior of adjacent or analogous customer segments, rather than making decisions on very limited direct data alone. I'm explicit about the added uncertainty when direct research is thin.
