What you'll do

Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in finance. As a Finance Expert, you'll design realistic, end-to-end financial workflows that today's best models still struggle with, then grade how agents handle them. Expect to build scenarios spanning internal finance operations and corporate development: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, board packages, headcount planning, and unit economics on the FP&A side; and M&A screening, comps, DCF/LBO/merger modeling, synergy analysis, diligence, long-range planning, capital allocation memos, and investment memos on the corp dev side. These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus.

These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus. Who we're looking for 3+ years in corporate FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, buy-side, or Big 4 advisory; or MBA with a finance concentration plus comparable experience Working fluency in at least two of: financial modeling (three-statement, DCF, LBO, merger), valuation, management reporting, long-range planning, capital allocation, diligence Comfortable reading and producing operating models, board decks, investment memos, and management reports Clear written communication; able to articulate reasoning and decisions step by step Drawn to long-horizon, challenging problem sets rather than one-off microtasks Compensation $85–$130/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are promoted based on task quality and throughput. • 3+ years in corporate FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, buy-side, or Big 4 advisory; or MBA with a finance concentration plus comparable experience
