What to Expect
Cyprus-based professionals access AI training opportunities primarily through Greek language evaluation, English-language tasks, and some Turkish language work (from the Turkish Cypriot community). Cypriot Greek dialect evaluation is a specialized niche, Cypriot Greek differs significantly from Standard Modern Greek in vocabulary and phonology, and authentic Cypriot expertise is rare. Standard Modern Greek evaluation is also available. Cyprus's strong financial services sector creates alignment with finance and business domain evaluation roles. EET/EEST (UTC+2/+3) time zone gives good European coverage. SEPA bank transfer and Payoneer are standard payment methods. Cyprus's favorable freelancer tax regime and straightforward self-employment registration make platform contractor work accessible. English-language proficiency is very high in Cyprus, opening the full English-language task ecosystem.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to pay tax on AI training income in Cyprus?
Yes. Freelance income from foreign platforms must be declared to the Tax Department as part of your annual return.
Do I need to register as self-employed to start?
You'll need to register with the Social Insurance Services once you're working regularly. One detail worth knowing: self-employed contributions in Cyprus have a fixed minimum due each quarter, calculated off notional income bands rather than your actual earnings, so a slow quarter doesn't reduce the bill.
How do I get paid?
SEPA euro transfers work directly since Cyprus is in the eurozone. Wise is the better option if a platform pays in USD first.
Is remote AI training work legit for people in Cyprus?
Yes. Every listing on this page accepts applicants in Cyprus; most come from SME Careers, which pays through Deel. The platform filter above shows the others with open roles today. Apply through the platform's own site and never pay a fee to start.
What skills are most in demand from Cyprus-based applicants?
Greek-language evaluation is the clearest niche, shared with the Greek market, alongside general reasoning, writing, and coding review work.
How many Cyprus AI training jobs are open right now?
This page is showing 930 listings open to contractors in Cyprus, sourced from 8 platforms: Micro1 (321), Ethos (238), SME Careers (219), Turing (140) and Mindrift (7). The most recent one was picked up today. The count moves as platforms post and close roles, so treat it as a snapshot of today rather than a fixed figure.
What do Cyprus AI training jobs pay?
Most sit between $65 and $100 an hour, with a median of $75, measured across the 520 listings on this page that quote an hourly rate. The highest rate currently posted here is $400 an hour. These are the figures the platforms published, not our estimates, and the rate you are offered depends on how you do in that platform's assessment.
Are Cyprus roles paid hourly or per task?
Both appear here. 46 listings pay per task or per project rather than by the hour, and the rest quote an hourly rate. Per-task work suits people who are fast and accurate, since your effective hourly rate depends on how long each unit takes you.
